Story of Rescue Puppies
In November 2024, a member of the public discovered two abandoned puppies at a rubbish collection point. One of them had a large open wound exposing tissue, unable to stand due to the pain; the other stayed close beside him, trembling helplessly. The passer-by quickly secured them and contacted the SPCA for help.
Our inspectors promptly brought the puppies back to the SPCA Centre, where our veterinary team carried out thorough examinations and treatment. Despite being injured and abandoned, they continued to trust people, each time a nurse approached, they would wag their tails softly, reaching for those warm hands.s
With dedicated care, their wounds gradually healed, their pain faded, and they learned to run, play, and reach out for love and reassurance once again.
The following year, sister Dorma had already found a loving home; while her brother Lok Lok is still waiting for adoption at our Kowloon Centre. If you an give Lok Lok a loving home, please visit him at our Kowloon Centre.
Unfortunately, stories like theirs are not uncommon. Every day, our inspectors travel across Hong Kong, responding to calls, investigating cruelty, and rescuing animals that cannot speak for themselves.
Your support gives them hope.
This Lunar New Year, please continue to support us — so more lives like theirs can move towards healing and new beginnings
